This incident resulted in the temporary closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking area.

Two more people are now in custody in connection with a theft at Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals sustained injuries by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

The arrests follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, two women had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was among the injured during the incident. Five people went to hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.

Officers arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault close to the location. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Police were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of people injured by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.

The assault - which police said was isolated and not being treated as an act of terror - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 parking facility briefly.
