The Soldiers Table Unveiled
The latest chapter finished on a huge suspense moment and revealed the first table of characters who will split off from the primary party to begin their own adventure, distinct from the additional parties.
The Soldiers table consists of Teor (played by the voice actor), the agile character (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), the cleric (the player), and the mysterious adventurer (the actor).
Dividing the Cast
Considering a large ensemble, it was evident from the outset that having everyone at the same party would be impossible.
That’s why, the first four episodes of the new season serve as an Prelude, weaving together the individual narratives before dividing into three separate parties: Warriors, Schemers, and Questers.
Characteristics of the Warrior Group
Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for players who are drawn to a traditionally charged fight-heavy story mode where non-violent answers are scarce.
Initially, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander Halovar might seem unsuited, but the events of the third episode show why these specific adventurers are best suited for the combat party.
Why They Must Go
For one thing, the party has a clear idea where to proceed after a intense initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.
A former ally of Thjazi Fang—whose death initiated the campaign’s events—exploited the foes for his personal gain, entering the hidden lair, striking the rogue, and taking all the magical artifacts to sell off.
The traitor then settled his liabilities and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, beyond the urban center, with Cyd Pridesire pursuing him.
Individual Reasons
Moreover, each character has a specific drive to leave the city Dol-Makjar:
- The rogue, as the companion and trusted friend, seeks retribution.
- The adventurer has experience in Timmony and advises that it is a dangerous location.
- The warrior and Wicander, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to kill Teor and instead rescued him, have nowhere else to go.
- However, their position as important members in the influential clan could help the group access places they usually can’t.
- Furthermore, Teor vowed a unbreakable promise to The savior for his deliverance and will now accompany him everywhere.
Pursued by Authorities
In addition, all of them are wanted by the powers that rule the city for a variety of reasons, making remaining behind dangerous:
- Thimble and Kattigan are recognized lawbreakers.
- Tyranny and Wicander turned against the powerful family and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
- The target is marked for death by House Halovar.
This means them few options but to travel to the northern region in quest for Casimir.
Future Episodes
Based on the latest episode’s Cooldown, we find out that the combat party will be absent the following episode, leaving the remaining eight cast members to form the Explorers and Strategists parties.
Viewers can anticipate finding out which players will be in which group in the story’s last Overture episode, released on October 24.
